All bookings made will be confirmed via an automated or customised email.
Please note that these terms & conditions apply to all bookings made via our website and over the telephone.
The whole cost of the booking is taken at the time of booking via our website or by telephone by credit or debit card. We also accept payment by cheque and Childcare Vouchers which can be arranged by email or over the telephone.
Payment is regarded as acceptance of the booking conditions. No booking will be fully confirmed until payment is received.
We must receive payment in full before we can accept a child at camp.
We accept childcare vouchers from our registered providers. We require a confirmation email when the payment has been authorised. If you require any information about this service please do not hesitate to contact us.
Changes and Cancellations
If you wish to change the dates of your camp booking we can do this within the same holiday season (e.g. Summer) free of charge, subject to availability.
Cancellations for camps paid for in full must be received in writing with supporting medical evidence if relevant and the overall cost of camp places will be refunded.
Cancellations received more than 14 working days before the start of the event will be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the overall cost of camp.
Cancellations received between 14 and 1 working day before the start of the event will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the overall cost of camp.
Cancellations received 24 hours or less before the start of camp will be subject to no refund.
In exceptional circumstances The Highland Games may have to cancel particular dates. In this event, we will inform you at the earliest time possible and offer a suitable alternative if one is available, offer a place on an alternative week or refund all monies paid for the dates cancelled, if preferred.
If the event you require is fully booked you will be placed on a waiting list. In the event of cancellations we will contact you then your child will be booked onto the event.
Available Dates and Activities
Information contained within this website is correct at time of update. Changes may occur and The Highland Games will endeavour to inform parents as quickly as possible. Programmes are subject to change in the event of unsuitable weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to exclude or refuse any person at any time prior to and during the event if, in our opinion, that person is incompatible with the general well being of the event.
All children in our care are covered by our Public Liability Insurance.
Medication and First Aid
In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered to children in our care, and the emergency services will be called if necessary.
By accepting these terms and conditions ,In the event of your child requiring medical or surgical treatment, including the administration of local or general anaesthetic, in any emergency during his/her stay at Highland Games. I hereby give my consent to such treatment as may be considered necessary by a registered medical practitioner.
We keep a record of all medication administered to children whilst at The Highland Games classes and camps. Please inform us if medication is required to be given when booking. By signing the medical consent form you are allowing our staff to administer the medication. If you do not want our staff to administer any medication to your child/ren please say so.
Photography and Filming
Please be aware that we occasionally take photographs and film footage of children on camp for inclusion in promotional material. By accepting these terms and conditions your child/ren may appear in promotional and marketing material for the Highland Games. If you would like to opt your child/ren out of any photography or video please contact firstname.lastname@example.org stating the child/ren’s name and when they are attending the Highland Games.
Equal Opportunities and Child Protection
The Highland Games is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes all children regardless of their gender, ability, race or religion. Each child attending our events is of equal value and is entitled to equal access of opportunity. We operate a zero tolerance policy to discrimination or bullying of any kind.
We will try wherever possible not to exclude any child because of a special need. If your child has a special need and requires extra assistance parents must discuss this with us at the time of booking.
We will use your details to mail and/or email you with future information about our services; you may opt out of our mailing list when booking, or afterwards at any stage.
A 10% sibling discount is applied to the second and subsequent children, where they are booked in for the full duration of the week.
Only one offer applies at any one time.
Your child’s personal property is your own responsibility, unless loss or damage is proven to be due to The Highland Games’ negligence. If anything is missing when your child leaves camp please let us know right away. Expensive and treasured items such as jewellery, iPods, mobile phones, designer clothes/trainers, etc. should not be brought to camp.
